Dr. Vollmer is a native Memphian. He graduated from Overton High School, then attended Union University (Jackson, TN) and Memphis State (now the Univ. of Memphis). In 1987 he graduated summa cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
After working for a brief time as a clinical teaching resident at Palmer, he joined a practice in New Hampshire, and while there completed coursework toward a diplomat in neurology. Deciding to open his own practice, he returned to Memphis, where he has been practicing since April of 1990. He merged his practice with Cole Pain Therapy Group in April of 1998.
Dr. Vollmer has a diplomat in pain management and specializes in helping his patients recover from both acute and chronic pain conditions. In addition to chiropractic treatments, he offers advice to ensure his patients maintain the gains they make with his treatments, something about which he is quite passionate.
During his years in practice, Dr. Vollmer has spoken to numerous civic groups, churches, and schools about chiropractic and related health matters. He has appeared on local television and radio programs and been interviewed on news reports to discuss health care and answer questions about chiropractic.
